B&B Theatres Welcomes Jim King as New Director Of Construction

PRESS RELEASE

As B&B Theatres continues to expand and remodel its footprint, the need has arisen for a Director of Construction. Jim’s role will include: Offer oversight and direction to construction projects from conception to completion; Conduct in-depth project review to schedule deliverables and estimate costs; Coordinate and direct construction crews and subcontractors as well as coordinate the FF&E install and delivery times; Review the work progress on daily basis and much more.  Jim will work directly with Jesse Baker (Director of Design), Dennis McIntire (Executive Director of Development and Construction) and Brock Bagby (Vice President of Programming and Business Development) to complete start-to-finish projects.

Jim King started with Sonic Equipment Company in July of 1998 and over the course of his service held positions as Service Technician, Service Manager, Project Manager, and Project Director.

Brock Bagby, V.P. of Programming and Business Development for B&B Theatres, said, “Jim has over 25 years in the exhibition business. I leaned on Jim while he was at Sonic Equipment Company when developing our PLF Grand Screen, recliner installs, digital deployment, immersive sound, and countless advances in technology. Jim understands the extremely detailed elements needed to build a new state-of-the-art theatre and I couldn’t think of a person I would trust more to complete our upcoming remodels and new builds.”

Speaking of the position acceptance, Jim King said, “I am really looking forward to taking on this new role with B&B Theatres.  I started working for B&B while in college a long time ago. B&B, and the cinema industry in general, have seen some really big changes in recent years and it looks like the future will only continue this trend.  It is very exciting and I am thrilled to be joining their team again.”
