Milwaukee, April 19, 2016… Marcus Theatres®, a division of The Marcus Corporation(NYSE:MCS), is continuing to invest in its portfolio of Fox Cities theatres with additional comforts and conveniences at three area properties. Moviegoers already have been responding positively to recently-opened premium, large-format auditoriums at several Fox Cities locations, and now the company is unveiling even more amenities at Oshkosh and Bay Park Cinemas, as well as the soon-to-be-renamed Appleton East Cinema.
“This winter, we introduced five SuperScreen DLX® auditoriums at three Fox Cities properties, to provide our guests the ultimate in seating, cinema sound and screen size,” said Rolando Rodriguez, president and chief executive officer of Marcus Theatres. “As customers embrace the DreamLoungerSM recliner seating, Dolby® Atmos® multidimensional sound and oversized screens, we have an opportunity to round out that moviegoing experience with additional food and beverage concepts and other updates at these same theatres.”
Just in time for the highly-anticipated “Captain America: Civil War”, Marcus® Appleton East Cinema will change its name to Marcus® Valley Grand Cinema, to reflect the amazing new amenities added to this location. All 16 auditoriums now feature DreamLounger recliner seating, which allows guests to go from a seated upright position to a full recline with the touch of a button. Plus, these recliners provide double the legroom and the comforts of home. In the coming weeks, there also will be lobby improvements, including new carpeting, renovated box office and concessions areas, exterior updates and new signage, and a new food and beverage outlet, Reel Sizzle®. Reminiscent of a 1950’s diner, Reel Sizzle will offer classic menu items like burgers, chicken tenders, signature shakes and crinkle-cut fries with ‘sizzle seasoning’, for pick-up in the lobby.
Oshkosh Cinema is also receiving updates this spring, beginning with the addition of comfortable, oversized DreamLounger recliners, which are now available in all 12 auditoriums. In the next few weeks, the theatre will complete a renovated lobby with a new concessions stand, box office, ticket kiosks and a soft-seating area, as well as a Zaffiro’s® Express food and beverage concept. Based on a renowned Milwaukee pizzeria, Zaffiro’s Express will provide guests with its handmade, Thincredible® thin-crust pizza, sandwiches, appetizers, desserts and other menu items for quick pick-up in the lobby before, during or after a movie.
In Ashwaubenon this month, Bay Park Cinema is unveiling a completely renovated lobby with a new box office, ticket kiosks, carpeting and an updated concessions counter. Additionally, moviegoers will enjoy upgraded seating with wide rocker-style chairs in the theatre’s 14 standard auditoriums. The two SuperScreen DLX auditoriums that opened in December of 2015 brought DreamLounger recliner seating to this cinema, as well.
