Let’s analyze the box office for La La Land. It earned — sorry, our apologies, there’s been a terrible mistake, we meant to analyze the box office for Moonlight instead.
Universal’s horror release Get Out debuted on top with $33.3 million. After two weekends as the leader, Warner Bros.’ animated The LEGO Batman Movie dropped to second place with $19.2 million. And if you’re wondering, La La Land improved 2.1 percent to $4.6 million and eighth place, while Moonlight improved 9.3 percent to $591 thousand.
