Fandango Signs First-Ever Agreement with National Amusements, Increasing its Global Reach to Over 40,000 Screens

LAS VEGAS/CINEMACON – April 23, 2018 Fandango, the world’s leading online movie ticketer, announced today the company’s first-ever agreement with National Amusements, Inc., a global leader in motion picture exhibition, for ticketing at nearly 400 screens throughout the Northeast.

In addition to adding National Amusements’ Showcase Cinemas, Fandango has added more than 1,500 new screens from more than a dozen exhibitors across the country over the past year, bringing Fandango’s worldwide screen count to more than 40,000 screens.

Kicking off what could be a record-breaking summer at the box office, last week Fandango launched its new Fandango VIP+ rewards program to incentivize advance ticketing and more moviegoing this summer.  For the first time, ticket buyers on Fandango can earn VIP+ Points redeemable for discounts and free stuff across Fandango’s family of businesses.

To participate in the program, ticket buyers need to be a Fandango VIP member, Fandango’s free-to-join loyalty program. For every movie ticket purchased on Fandango, Fandango VIP members will receive 150 VIP+ Points.  Once members reach 600 VIP+ Points, they will receive a six-dollar discount code to be used towards future movie ticket purchases, and more.  Complete details on the Fandango VIP+ rewards program can be found here.

Fandango continues to pioneer new movie discovery and ticketing experiences with tech giants Apple, Google, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, and others. The company has also incorporated leading digital payment platforms into its ticketing service, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Visa Checkout and Masterpass, enabling ticket purchases via debit and credit cards with just one touch.
