MovieTickets.com (@MovieTickets) reports advance tickets sold on the first day for THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – PART 1 far exceeded the first day advance sales of any other film in 2014 including GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. Furthermore, first day advance tickets sold through MovieTickets.com for this third film in the HUNGER GAMES franchise doubled that of tickets sold for THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE on its first day of presales last year.
