Captain America: Civil War opened in Italy on Wednesday, grossing $1.2 million, a slight 5% behind the opening day for Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Cap’s overseas total is now at $261.6 million through Wednesday.
Early estimates are also in for China’s midnight screenings where the Disney/Marvel sequel earned RMB 17M ($2.6M). That’s the fourth biggest midnight take in the market behind Furious 7 (RMB 52.5M), Age of Ultron (RMB 29.7M), and Transformers 4 (RMB 21M).
