On Presidents’ Day, the extended weekend brought good fortune to the box office. Warner Bros.’ The LEGO Batman Movie led for the second frame with an estimated $42.5 million extended weekend. Universal’s Fifty Shades Darker took second place again with an estimated $24.2 million extended weekend. The top debut went to Universal’s The Great Wall with an estimated $21.0 million extended weekend and third place. Warner Bros.’ claimed fifth place with the debut of Fist Fight at an estimated $14.5 million extended weekend. And Fox’s horror debut A Cure for Wellness couldn’t even crack the top 10, with an 11th place start at an estimated $5.0 million extended weekend.
