Following last week’s news that Regal and Amazon MGM Studios joined forces to bring the last chapter of the multi-Emmy Award-winning Prime Video series The Boys to audiences in the premium 4DX format on May 19, ahead of the final episode’s streaming debut on May 20, a second evening showtime is being announced to meet audience demand after the initial 9:30 p.m. screening quickly reached capacity.
Before the finale becomes available to stream on Prime Video, the last chapter of The Boys will present moviegoers with the series-defining showdown. Attendees of this special presentation will feel every action-packed sight and sound as the tension of the final conflict taking place on screen is amplified by the 4DX format, which offers guests a multi-sensory cinema experience through motion, vibration, water, wind, scents, and other effects.
Supes fans can secure a seat for the additional May 19 showtime of The Boys Series Finale at Regal 4DX locations nationwide for a $30 concession voucher available at select theater box offices, on the mobile app, and through REGmovies.com. The voucher can only be used on May 19 to purchase food, drink, and merch items at concession stands and bars during a single transaction, with any unused value forfeited.
“Regal and Amazon MGM Studios have partnered to bring the Season 5, Episode 8 conclusion of acclaimed streaming series The Boys to all of our 4DX locations across the country,” said Brooks LeBoeuf, senior vice president of US content at Regal. “Through five seasons, The Boys has consistently provided viewers with superhero-worthy storytelling, so we wanted to deliver the series finale to supes fans with an equally blockbuster-level experience.”
