Lumma today announced a strategic partnership with Omniplex Cinemas to launch Scotland’s first-ever 4D E-Motion auditorium at the iconic Renfrew Street venue in Glasgow, set to officially premiere in September 2026.
4D E-Motion augments the premium format landscape using a variety of effects—including wind, water, vibrations, scents, color lights, and air shots—synchronized with on-screen action. Cinema chain Omniplex is debuting the 4D+ Experience featuring built-in, brand-new Magnify 8 technology in 128 seats.
“Omniplex is thrilled to bring the state-of-the-art, mind-blowing 4D E-Motion experience to Glasgow’s moviegoers at Renfrew Street, an iconic landmark that honors its classic architectural roots while delivering next-level cinematic immersion,” said Paul John Anderson, director of Omniplex Cinemas.
“Partnering with Omniplex, Paul John Anderson, and his phenomenal team has been the perfect alliance. Marking our official entry into the UK market at the world’s tallest cinema is a monumental milestone for LUMMA, and this world-class venue provides the ultimate stage to debut Glasgow’s very first 4D E-Motion auditorium,” said Rolando B. Rodriguez, partner and board member at LUMMA 4D E-Motion.
This year, Lumma is celebrating its 10th anniversary of 4D E-Motion in the cinema industry. The award-winning 4D E-Motion technology has expanded across 20 countries and multiple global markets.
