Arts Alliance Media (AAM), a division of Qube Cinema, today announced HOYTS has extended its agreement for both Screenwriter and Producer, AAM’s site-level and enterprise theater management systems. The renewal marks 16 years of continuous partnership between the two companies.

HOYTS operates 511 screens across 61 locations in Australia and New Zealand, making it one of the largest cinema circuits in the region. The circuit runs Screenwriter across its sites for on-site content management, KDM workflows, and playback scheduling, while Producer provides HOYTS’ support office teams with centralised, circuit-wide visibility and control.

Throughout the partnership, HOYTS has been one of AAM’s most influential strategic partners, helping shape the evolution of Screenwriter and Producer through real-world operational innovation. As one of the pioneers of digital cinema automation, HOYTS has worked closely with AAM’s engineering teams to develop enterprise-scale workflows that have continually pushed the platform forward. Many of the automation capabilities now relied upon by exhibitors around the world originated from this close collaboration, particularly in the areas of enterprise workflow automation, content management, KDM management and circuit-wide operational control.

“Our partnership with AAM spans more than 16 years, and the decision to extend was an easy one. Since the dawn of digital cinema, HOYTS has been at the forefront of innovation, working alongside AAM to develop highly automated operational workflows that have fundamentally transformed how we manage our circuit. Many of the capabilities that are now standard within Screenwriter and Producer were born from this collaborative approach, helping evolve the platform into what is widely regarded as the world’s leading Theater Management System. We are proud of what we have achieved together over the past 16 years and look forward to continuing to innovate and shape the future of cinema operations together.” Adam Wrightson, managing director at the HOYTS Cinema Technology Group

“HOYTS has been one of our most valued and influential partners over the past 16 years. Their scale, ambition and willingness to continually push the boundaries of what a Theater Management System can deliver have made them genuine contributors to the evolution of both Screenwriter and Producer. We look forward to continuing that partnership for many years to come,” added David Ong, chief commercial officer, Arts Alliance Media,
