NORTH AMERICA: ‘Home’ Nears $64M In Six Days; ‘Get Hard’ Cracks $40M Mark

Fox reports that DreamWorks’ Home added $3.41 million on Wednesday, easily retaining first place. The surprise hit animated flick has tallied $63.7 million in its first six days, nearly 12 percent ahead of the pace of The Croods and just 8 percent behind Monsters vs. Aliens.

Get Hard held second place again yesterday with $2.3 million. The Will Ferrell-Kevin Hart comedy team-up has pulled a solid $41.75 million through its first six days, 55 percent ahead of The Wedding Ringer‘s pace and 1 percent ahead of Blades of Glory.

In third, The Divergent Series: Insurgent posted $1.69 million on Wednesday, down 34.5 percent from last week. The sequel’s 13-day cume stands at $91.4 million, about 8 percent behind the pace of Divergent.

Cinderella eased 25 percent from last week to $2.225 million yesterday. Disney’ latest fairy tell retelling has taken in $154.9 million to date, just a little over 10 percent less than Maleficent through the same point.

It Follows filled out the top five again yesterday with another $0.36 million from 1,218 locations. The buzzy indie horror has tallied $5.68 million thus far and will expand to 1,655 locations this weekend.
