Tuesday Morning Update: November Man had a strong increase on Tuesday of 197% as it rose to 2,286 tweets. A ways up from its skinny Monday of 768 tweets. Its Facebook numbers rose less than 2 points to 107,623 likes, from 106,007 likes on Monday. While the increase percentage was very nice its overall number is still very tiny and leaves a lot to be desired. By comparison, Three Days To Kill had 2,503 tweets and 79,167 likes the day before its release back in February. The increase yesterday saw it draw closer to 3 Days than I thought possible so it could very well reach double digits by the end of Sunday. Its Wednesday tweets on opening day should nail it down tighter but its safe to say this won’t be challenging for top spot on the weekend.
As Above/So Below actually dropped on Tuesday by 6% to 3,449 tweets, down from 3,657 tweets on Monday. On Facebook it also had a tiny increase of <1% to 517,274 likes, up from 514,539 likes the day before. Horrors stalling like this in release week are not uncommon but usually it is at much higher tweet levels. By comparison, Deliver Us From Evil had 4,768 tweets and 314,675 likes three days before its release (it was a Wednesday opener so that was a Sunday), while The Quiet Ones had 1,482 tweets and 165,556 likes. Still looks like it has enough gas in the tank to best The November Man but the low stagnating tweet marks are a worry. This is one that could definitely end up in single digits unless it sees a big uptick by tomorrow.
