Proctor Companies, a leading supplier of food and beverage systems and concession stands for the cinema and family entertainment industries, is changing hands. A newly formed entity named ProctorCo has reached an agreement to acquire the assets and ownership of the legacy business, with the deal slated to close on May 1, 2026.
ProctorCo is spearheaded by two tenured industry veterans and former Proctor Companies executives. Shaun Polak, previously Vice President, will take on the role of Chief Operating Officer, while former Director of Installation Operations Robb Meek will serve as President. Together, the new principals bring over 50 years of combined industry experience to the helm.
While the new leadership plans to maintain the company’s long-standing focus on custom millwork, kitchen and bar equipment, and design/build services, they are also charting a course for immediate expansion. A primary strategic focus for ProctorCo will be extending its reach into comprehensive general contracting (GC) services.
“We are honored to benefit from the foundation that Proctor Companies has built over more than half a century and are excited for this new chapter in our story,” Polak said. “Our goal is to maintain the same high level of service while expanding into General Contracting—all in support of our clients’ continued profitability.”
Meek emphasized that the move into general contracting is designed to streamline projects for their clients in the entertainment sector. “We’ve got the people, the skills, and the experience we need to continue the Proctor legacy and to provide GC services,” he noted. “Our customers will benefit by consolidating operations, costs, quality, and accountability. Everybody is excited to get rolling!”
Ensuring a smooth transition and continuity for existing clients, Michael Giacinto will remain in his role as Vice President of Sales, continuing to lead the company’s business development efforts.
The acquisition marks the conclusion of Bruce Proctor’s extensive career leading Proctor Companies through decades of industry evolution. Proctor is slated to make his final industry trade show appearance at CinemaCon 2026 before retiring to spend his time hiking, fishing, and being with his family.
