Signal Hill, California-based Adaptive Technologies Group has announced an expansion of their Prolift Scissor Lift line, enabling cinemas to better accommodate the growing range of premium format projectors currently in use.
Prolift Scissor Lifts are now available in three standard, field-adjustable lifting heights: 8 feet, 16 feet, and 24 feet. Installations are straightforward, with the lifts’ silence while operational making them ideal for post-production studios, theaters, and booth-less and 4DX auditoriums.
Side cars and wire track feed the signal and power wiring to the projector as it is lowered. Redundant fall protection assures safe operation with up to a 600 lb. payload. Projectors can be mounted directly to the Lift, or installed inside the P-Box 15 self-ventilating hush box.
Users can choose from three different digital controllers: one that offers a show and maintenance position, one that adds a third “stow” position for placing projectors above a ceiling and out of view, and a third model that network-able and compatible with popular show controllers. Each of these controllers come pre-assembled with a UL label and remote switch.
