Iraqi Cinema today announced the deployment of Timewaying’s HeyLED 6M-4K DCI cinema screen at its flagship location in the Mall of Iraq in Baghdad. This installation is not only the first of its kind in Iraq but also the Middle East’s inaugural high-end P1.46 4K HDR DCI LED screen featuring front-maintenance technology. The screen is installed within the exclusive HeyLED Private Auditorium, complementing the venue’s IMAX auditorium.
The screen features 4K ultra-high definition, a 60,000:1 contrast ratio, and a peak brightness of 300 nits. Further bolstered by DCI CTP 1.4 HDR certification, every frame precisely reproduces the original film. HeyLED screen’s floating 3D LED technology, through its active light-emitting principle, also resolves the common issues of brightness degradation and ghosting found in traditional 3D projection. The LED auditorium pairs this DCI direct view technology with a premium Dolby Atmos sound system and luxury fully-reclining seats. Beyond regular film screenings, the private auditorium can be utilized for corporate events, product launches, and private gatherings. The HeyLED 6M-4K DCI screen arrives at the Mall of Iraq through a close collaboration between HeyLED and its exclusive Middle East partner, Scrabble.
“The HeyLED 6M-4K product not only represents the future of cinematic exhibition technology but also serves as a powerful business tool, enabling cinemas to stand out in a competitive landscape and achieve sustainable profitable growth,” stated Pruthu Shah, the chief executive officer of Scrabble. “We believe that through the HeyLED Private Auditorium, Iraqi Cinema will set a new benchmark for the premium viewing market in the region.”
