Movietickets.Com Teams Up with Sony Pictures Entertainment for Biggest Co-Promotion Deal in Ticketing Company’s History

CULVER CITY, Calif., April 3, 2017 – In the most wide-ranging, longest deal in its history, MovieTickets.com, a leading global provider of remote movie ticketing, has teamed up with Sony Pictures to promote four upcoming 2017 films from Sony Pictures Entertainment, it was announced today by Jeremy Devine, VP of Exhibitor & Studio Relations for MovieTickets.com, and Jeffrey Godsick, EVP Worldwide Partnerships and Brands for Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Beginning with Smurfs: The Lost Village, in theaters Friday, the collaboration continues with Spider-Man: Homecoming, in theaters July 7, 2017, The Emoji Movie, in theaters July 28, 2017, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, in theaters December 20, 2017.

The promotion will feature co-branded in-theater one-sheets in over 1,000 theaters, as well as an original co-branded commercial for each campaign, to air on over 6,000 screens, on MovieTickets.com, its social channels, and on the syndicated television shows “Made in Hollywood” and “Made in Hollywood: Teen Edition.”

The Smurfs: The Lost Village promotion kicks off the collaboration with a sweepstakes with a grand prize of a trip for two adults to Yellowstone National Park, including airfare, transportation, accommodations, and a zip line and rafting adventure.  No purchase necessary.
