Christie has announced that Proyecfilm has added a Christie CP4420m-RGBH 4K hybrid RGB pure laser and phosphor cinema projector to its projector fleet. The RGBH is designed to deliver high-quality cinema experiences in a wide range of spaces. Proyecfilm recently debuted the RGBH projector during a series of special hospital screenings in the Madrid region, organized through an Italfarmaco initiative that brings cinema to patients who can’t attend a commercial theater.

The initiative included screenings of a newly released animated family film at Hospital Universitario Niño Jesús, Hospital Universitario La Paz, and Hospital Universitario Príncipe de Asturias, allowing children and families to enjoy a cinema experience in the hospital at the same time as audiences in theaters. It also included a screening of the French film Dear Parents (Chers Parents) at Hospital Enfermera Isabel Zendal in Madrid for patients with ALS and their families.

To support the screenings, Italfarmaco again turned to Proyecfilm for the technical design, installation, and operation of the temporary cinema spaces. Proyecfilm has worked with Christie projection technology for many years, using it in fixed cinemas, rural venues, outdoor screenings, cultural events, and hospital initiatives across Spain. The Christie CP4420m-RGBH features Christie CineLife+ electronics, a 0.98-inch 4K SST DMD, and Phazer illumination technology. It delivers up to 20,000 lumens and is designed for screens up to 63 feet wide (19 meters), combining RGB pure laser and phosphor illumination. The projector’s compact, quieter design makes it especially suitable for small spaces, boothless installations, screening rooms, event cinema, and mobile applications. It’s also compatible with the Christie IMB-S4 and selected legacy and third-party IMBs.

“Our main interest in this projector is the balance between size, weight, and projection quality. At the moment, that balance is hard to beat,” says Alberto Fuentes of Proyecfilm. “It allows us to deliver 4K laser projection at the level of any commercial cinema, while making transport and installation much easier. We have only used it a couple of times so far, including for these 4K hospital premieres alongside a Christie IMB-S4 integrated media block, and the results were fantastic. We already have more events planned with it, including outdoor screenings.”
